Founded in 1993, Transylve began its operations by producing sawn timber from locally purchased logs and by working as a sawing subcontractor. Soon afterwards, the company oriented its production toward top grade products and started purchasing its raw materials in the United States. Following a major investment in 1997, Transylve positioned itself as one of the biggest producers in the industry.
