The specialists at Transylve use sawing techniques allowing them to produce exceptionally good-looking boards. Employees handle and store the logs in such a way as to meet maximum quality standards. Drying is done in ultra-modern kilns, according to specific criteria established for each wood species in order to ensure the highest consistency and quality. Finally, the wood is stored in temperature and humidity controlled warehouses.
Transylve produces 10,000,000 board feet (24,000 m³) of lumber a year at its sawmill located in Saint-Louis-de-Blandford, Quebec, Canada. The combination of high-tech equipment, strict procedures and continuous quality control efforts ensures uniform and accurate sawing. Sorting is done according to NHLA (National Hardwood Lumber Association) standards or as per customer specifications.
